Yamaha moved quickly after the loss of Valentino Rossi to Ducati. Now the team is aiming for the Japanese manufacturer Yamaha Tech 3 rider Monster, Ben Spies, as a new rider.
According to the Managing Director of Yamaha's Lin Jarvis, currently they are in a negotiation to move Spies. Thus in summer 2011, plans had Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo-mate Ben Spies.
"We planned that brought Ben Spies from the Tech 3 team. But then again it has not yet decided," said Jarvis on the official website of the MotoGP, Monday, August 16, 2010.
