West Ham are hopeful of signing Juventus striker Davide Lanzafame this Summer according to reports on Sky Sports today.
The 21 year old came through the Turin side's youth system and caught the eye of former Juve star Anontio Conte, who took the youngster on loan at the current side he is managing, Bari. He bagged 10 goals in 33 appearances for the Serie B outfit, earning for himself a call up to the Italian U 21 team.
Conte has said in the media that "If he improves and learns he can become like Cristiano Ronaldo." The Hammers look set to sign the young starlet on a season long loan, should it be successful they will make a bid for the Italian to keep him at Upton Park on a permanent basis.
