Just when you thought things couldn't get much worse for the England team, former Chelsea boss and in my opinion the best man for the job, Jose Mourinho has supposedly said that he does not want to succeed Steve McClaren as England manager according to BBC Sport.
Mourinho left Chelsea in September of this year and has been out of football ever since and despite looking for a job at the moment, apparently the Portuguese manager is not ready for the international stage. "Mourinho is apparently champing at the bit to return to football management. But not for a job, however lucrative and high profile, that only allows him to do what he does so well - working with players - a couple of times every few months" said BBC Sport's, Jonathan Legard.
However other promising possibilities such as Fabio Capello has declared his interest in the post and the likes of Harry Redknapp hasn't ruled himself out yet.
Here's how the bookies see it; Martin O'Neil 5/2, Fabio Capello 5/1, Harry Redknapp 16/1 and you can get the likes of Steve Staunton at 1000/1. Who would you like to see take over as England boss ???
