Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs will battle it out for the signature of young Croatian hotshot Luka Modric in the January transfer window according to reports in The Daily Mail today.The 22 year old has an impressive goalscoring record for a midfielder, netting 20 times in his 69 appearances for his club side of Dinamo Zagreb. On an international level he has also looked promising, scoring 3 times and putting in consistantly, solid performances ever since starting for his national side in March 2006.
Initally, it was Arsenal or Chelsea who were favourites to snatch up the midfielder but now however it seems that new Spurs boss, Juande Ramos also looks interested. It is thought that his destination club will have to pay up to £25 million for the youngster.
It is clear that this is a promising young talent but is £25 million too much for someone who the Premier League fans haven't seen that much of ???
