Tottenham are preparing a £12 million bid for Everton striker Yakubu. New Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is keen to add to his striking options once the January transfer window opens and it has been widely speculated that he will have money to spend.
Redknapp signed Yakubu from Maccabi Haifa back in 2003 during his days at Portsmouth and is now keen on bringing the player to White Hart Lane.
Spurs have been linked with a whole host of strikers since Redknapp's arrival at the club last week but the signing of Yakubu now looks a real possibility.
David Moyes will obviously be keen to keep Yakubu at Goodison Park however the Nigerian international may be tempted by the chance to link back up with Redknapp in North London. I feel the signing of Yakubu would go some way to filling the void which the exit of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane obviously left.
