Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is keen on bringing Manchester United keeper Ben Foster to White Hart Lane once the January transfer window opens. Foster, 25, has struggled to nail down a first team place at Old Trafford ever since arriving at the club three years ago, due to injury and the form of Edwin Van Der Sar.
The England international spent two seasons on loan at Championship side Watford where he certainly impressed. During his two years at Vicarage Road he was promoted and relegated with the club, with Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd claiming "He is going to be the best goalkeeper in the world." It is understood that Redknapp is looking to take Foster on a six-month loan deal once the window opens.
Spurs currently have Heurelho Gomes as their number one, however he has done little to impress in the opening quarter of the season and the club are now keen to add to their goalkeeping options. I personally feel it would be a great move for both parties should Foster move to North London. Spurs would be getting a top young goalie for nothing and Foster would be getting some much needed first team football.
