Gunners prepare move for £4 million German ace

Arsenal are today preparing a £4 million bid for Weder Bremen midfielder Torsten Frings. The 31-year old is currently on international duty with Germany at the European Championships but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring him to the Emirates as soon as the tournament ends. The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich player has been at Bremen for over three years now, making over 80 appearances in the process. He also has 73 caps for Germany scoring 10 times in that spell and was one of Germany's top performers at the last World Cup.

I am personally a big fan of Frings and I believe he would be a very welcome addition to the Arsenal squad. The Gunners really do need a few more midfielders, with the likes of Flamini and possibly Hleb leaving Arsenal. At £4 million I think Frings would be a real bargain for Wenger.
