Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has done it again. It would appear he has signed yet another terrific young talent in the shape of Carlos Vela. The 18-year old Mexican scored a hat-trick on his full debut tonight against Sheffield United in the League Cup third round.Vela has spent three seasons on loan at Celta Vigo, Salamanca and Osasuna while the player waited to receive a work permit in the UK. This season he was given the all-clear to begin his career at the Emirates and boy has he got off to an impressive start.
He was the man of the match as Arsenal demolished Championship side Sheffield United 6-0. I had seen several quality clips of Vela before tonight's game but I have I was extremely surprised with his performance tonight. He was incredible. His second goal was simply outstanding and there is no doubt now he is ready for a successful career at Arsenal.
