Spurs plan January move for Arsenal target

Tottenham are planning a January move for Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who has been a long-term target of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The Welsh international is widely regarded as one of the best young keeper's in Britain and now Harry Redknapp is keen to bring him to White Hart Lane.

Redknapp currently has Huerelho Gomes as his number one however he is keen to replace him after some dodgy performances since his move from PSV during the summer. He has already been linked with a move for Manchester United keeper Ben Foster once the transfer window opens but now Hennessey is understood to be his number one target.

I personally feel Hennessey is an excellent goalkeeper who would prove an terrific signing for Spurs. It is no secret that the North London side need to replace Gomes and I think Hennessey would be the perfect replacement. The 21-year old should be interested in the move because he is currently second choice at Molineux behind Carl Ikeme.
