It has been claimed today that Liverpool have told Real Madrid they will have to bid £35 million if they are to have any chance of signing Xabi Alonso. The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu all summer, however as of yet, Real are yet to make a bid.£35 million is a hell of a lot of money and it has got me thinking, is Alonso really worth that much?
