Robbie Keane has today been left out of Liverpool's squad to face Chelsea this afternoon, which has once again raised question marks over his future at the club. The Republic of Ireland international has been strongly linked with a move back to Tottenham in recent days and weeks after Harry Redknapp admitted he would love to bring him back to White Hart Lane.
Keane, 28, left Spurs back in July after then Spurs boss Juande Ramos agreed to sell him for a fee of £20 million. Since then Keane has scored just 7 goals during his time on Merseyside and he has certainly fallen out of favour with Reds boss Rafa Benitez which has fuelled speculation that he could be on his way back to North London before the transfer window closes on Monday.
Despite his poor form this season, I still think Keane is a terrific striker. I would be delighted to see Keane move back to Spurs because there is no point wasting such a superb talent by leaving him out of the squad or on the bench every weekend.
