According to the mirror today Reading boss Steve Coppell may let star striker Leroy Lita leave the Royals in the coming transfer window if his form doesn'timprove. The player, who was one of Reading's best performers last season, scoring 14 goals in 27 matches, has failed to score in this campaign so far and was left out of the side that played Arsenal on Monday night.Both Gareth Southgate and Harry Redknapp are both said to be keen on the England under-21 international. Portsmouth boss Redknapp made an unsuccesful bid of £5 million for the 22-year old last summer but he could be set to make another move for the player now. Boro boss Southgate is in desperate need of a striker after losing both Viduka and Yakubu in the summer.
Lita's form has really surprised me this season. Last season he was magnificent but unfortunately for the Royals he just hasn't shown anything like that form this season. I think he may leave the Madejski in January and I would think it would be a fee of around about £4 million that may force Coppell to let him go.
