Premier League clubs line up bids for Chelsea star !!!

Newcastle are set to make a move for Chelsea centre half, Tal Ben Haim in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in The People newspaper yesterday. But in this writers opinion Newcastle are just one of several possible destinations as Reading and Wigan may also make an approach for the Israeli international.

Ben Haim only joined the London club in June of this year and after just seven appearances in the Chelsea colours he may be already out come January. The 25 year old was always going to be just a back up for the likes of Carvalho, Terry and Alex at Chelsea so it is no surprise at the Israeli's lack of game time. However Ben Haim has shown his ability prior to this season at Bolton, and was an integral part of The Trotters' dogged defence which was proved hard to break down at The Reebok under Sam Allardyce.

And it is Big Sam's Newcastle who are favourites to snatch up the £2 million-rated defender, but I believe that Premier League stragglers Wigan and Reading may also be in with a shout of securing the Blues number 22.
