Mills cracker adds to Everton's misery

Manchester City saw off bottom of the table Everton today by 2 goals to nil. The match was the earliest kick-off since the Premiership began (11:15) and it really showed in the first-half because some of the players were still fast asleep. But the second-half became more brighter with more chances. The game was in desperate need of a goal and Danny Mills duly obliged with an absouloute belter from around about thirty yards out on 72 minutes to put the home side in the lead.City extended their lead in the final few minutes when summer signing Darius Vassell slotted home past the helpless Nigel Martyn to ensure City took all three points. Final score Man City 2-0 Everton.

I really fear for Everton this season because they are stuck at the bottom of the league and they are going to have to play much better than they did today if they want to get of the bottom. Great win for City after a poor run of results and I was really glad to see young Stephen Ireland getting man of the match because he really deserved it. I have to say I saw the goal by Danny Mills and I just sat their in amazment because it was an absouloute belter. The win lifts City to 6th whilst the defeat for Everton keeps them stuck to the foot of the table.
