Harry Redknapp's revolution at Tottenham has continued today with yet another appointment in the coaching staff. Former Spurs striker Les Ferdinand has this afternoon accepted Redknapp's offer to become a striker's consultant at the North London club.
Ferdinand follows Tim Sherwood in the door at White Hart Lane after the former Blackburn Rovers captain joined the coaching staff last week. Ironically, both Sherwood and Ferdinand have been working together over the past few months as pundits on Setanta Sports, so they will certainly know each other very well.
Whilst speaking to Sky Sports News earlier this week, Redknapp had this to say about the possibility of Ferdinand returning to the club : "I will speak to Les, I want to bring Les in to do a bit of coaching and Les can work with the strikers". The 41-year old has now accepted the job and will return to the club after six years away.
I think this can only help Spurs in their bid to climb up the table. Harry is bringing in people who he personally knows very well and more importantly people who know the club. The likes of Darren Bent should reap the rewards from this appointment and I would not be one bit surprised to see him bang in a few goals in the coming weeks.
