Charlton stunned by Spurs come back

Charlton let a two goal lead slip at home to Tottenham and ended up losing 3-2. Charlton's Darren Bent continued his fine form with his first goal of the match when he beat Tottenahm's off side trap to latch onto Danny Murphy's through ball and he slotted the ball by Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson. Bent grabbed his second of the game just after the half-time break when he latch onto a lovely ball by Jerome Tomas and he curled it top corner past Robinson.

But soon after Tottenham got a goal back from England centre back Ledly King when he put his leg out after Mido got a flick on from Mendes' free kick and it went in past Charlton keeper Anderson. A denfensive error let Tottenahm grab an equaliser when Alexi Smertin mistimed his clearence on the edge of the area and the ball fell to Tainio and he played a lovely ball through to Mido who, from an acute angle slotted home to put the sides level. Tottenham's come back was complete when second half substitute Robbie Keane finished off a brilliant Tottenham counter attack to give his side all three points. Final score Charlton 2-3 Tottenham.

Great come back by Tottenham to claim all three points to leave them 3rd in the Barclays Premiership, but for Charlton they really need to be finishing of these type of games if they want qualify for European competition this season. I believe Tottenham really owe Irish striker Robbie Keane a bit of a run in the team because every time he gets a chance he gives Tottenham the goods.
