Avram Grant has today signed a new four-year deal at Chelsea after lifting the side to third in the Premier League.Grant took over back in September after the shock departure of Jose Mourinho and it must be said, many people questioned Roman Abramovich's decision to appoint the Israeli.
Grant has lost just once in his first seventeen games as Chelsea manager and that defeat came at the hands of in form Manchester United.
Grant has also guided Chelsea into the last sixteen of the Champions League and things are looking a lot brighter than they were back in mid September.
I must say I thought Chelsea were out of the title race once they appointed Grant but they have really proved me wrong. It will be very interesting to see what Grant does in January. I feel he needs to bring in one or two players if they are to continue their title chase.
