Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko has requested "showdown talks" with Reds manager Rafa Benitez which may encourage Merseyside rivals Everton make a move for the Mali international in the January transfer window, according to reports in The Sun today.Sissoko joined Liverpool in 2005 and has made 51 appearances for the club ever since. However, I am highly doubtful of the 22 year old's ability. Admitted, he is decent at tackling and breaking down oppositions' play, but when he does win it he is extremely careless and wasteful with the ball.
To be brutally honest I would be glad to see Sissoko leave especially with the players we have in that position; Mascherano, Alonso and Lucas (who by the way looks like he could be an exceptional talent).
I think anything close to what we signed him for would be a satisfactory amount to get for the Mali international, which was believed to be about €8 million .
