According to the Daily Express, Newcastle United are the latest team to show an interest in Derby County midfielder Giles Barnes.Barnes has been linked with several moves away from the Premier League strugglers with West Ham and Aston Villa said to be interested in the 19-year old.
New Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan is apparently ready to bid £5 million for the midfielder and Derby boss Paul Jewell may be tempted by that kind of money.
I feel Barnes deserves to be playing at a bigger and better team, with all due respect to Derby. Barnes is capable of winning a game on his own but the only thing I'm worried about is that he may just be a great player in a average team.
