It has been rumoured today that Tottenham are planning a summer bid of £13 million for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.The Spanish international has found the last six or seven months at Anfield tough, what with the arrival of Javier Mascherano in the Liverpool midfield.
The player is said to be growing deeply frustarted at the current situation and this could lead to his departure from Rafa Benitez' side in the summer with Juande Ramos supposedly very keen on the player.
Alonso would be a terrific signing for Spurs and I suspect he would be a huge hit with the White Hart Lane faithful. He is only 26-years old and still has many years left in him and it would not surprise me one bit to see Ramos bring the player to London.
