According to reports in today's Sun, Manchester United are interested in Lyon pair Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa.The pair have been linked with moves to Premier League rivals Arsenal in recent weeks but it is now thought that Sir Alex Ferguson could bid as much as £40 million for the two strikers.
Benzema, 20, and Ben Arfa, 20, have both been capped for France and are both currently playing at French giants Lyon were they have been making a big name for themselves.
I have seen and heard many good things about Ben Arfra and Benzema but I am not convinced that Ferguson will splash out £40 million on them. The are both very young and clearly have a lot of talent and it will be interesting to see where they end up but I predict not at Old Trafford.
