Former Liverpool striker, Djibril Cisse, has today been linked with a January move to either West Ham or Manchester City. The Mirror reports that the Marseille striker is a £5 million target for both the Hammers and City. The player who was signed by Liverpool in 2004 for a £14 million fee, has been linked with a return to the Premier League for some time.
Whilst at Liverpool, Cisse never really lived up to expectations and suffered a really bad injuries whilst playing for the club (broke his leg... twice). The player is said to be keen on a return to England to try and prove people wrong about him and West Ham or Man City are the most likely destinations for the Frenchman.
Man City boss, Sven Goran Eriksson, has been linked with dozens of strikers in recent months due to the lack of form from Rolando Bianchi and Emile Mpenza. West Ham have also been linked with a few strikers and Cisse is said to be very high on Hammers boss Alan Curbishley's wish list. I really hope Cisse joins either of the two sides because I really think he has more to offer than he did whilst at Anfield.
