Liverpool complete signings of Brazilian striker and Spanish midfielder

Liverpool have this evening completed the signings of Brazilian striker Vitor Flora and Spanish winger Albert Riera. Flora arrives at Anfield on a free transfer from Botafogo and Riera has completed his £8 million move from La Liga side Espanyol after weeks of speculation over his future.

Flora, 18, has an Italian passport and consequently didn't need a work permit to move to Liverpool. Meanwhile, Riera has finally completed his £8 million move from Espanyol after completing the formalities of his move today. The former Manchester City midfielder has been signed by Rafa Benitez in order to fix his left-side of midfield problems.

Although I have never seen Flora play, I have heard many good things about the young Brazilian. Obviously the Liverpool fans will be hoping he proves to be a superb signing by Benitez but only time will tell. On the Riera deal, I personally don't rate him but, who knows he may prove to be a decent buy by Benitez. Stay tuned to Football Corner for all the latest news on this deadline day.
