According to the Daily Mail website, Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson is lining up a move for Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski.
The Bayern striker has struggled to regain his first team place after an injury at the Allianz Arena and is believed to be in search of a move.
City are looking to take him on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal and the 22-year old may be attracted by Eriksson's Champions League chasing side.
If Sven were to sign Podolski it would certainly give City's chances of a top four finish a really big boost. Podolski is just what City need, a hard working striker that when he's on form can be unplayable.
