Many people have asked the question over the past few weeks or so, does Sam Allardyce deserve more time at Newcastle?
The Magpies currently ly in 11th place in the Premier League, a position that most people think isn't good enough for a side that spent a lot of money in the summer.
Allardyce was brought in after the departure of Glenn Roeder and it has to be said not everyone wanted him at St James' Park.
I know several Newcastle fans who were rather annoyed at the club for appointing Big Sam.
Allardyce got off to a flyer as Newcastle manager, beaten his old side Bolton 3-1 in the opening game of the season but for then on it his been a season of ups and downs, largely the latter.
His summer signings have thus far, failed to meet the standards of Newcastle United. Joey Barton for instance. He was injured for a couple of the opening games of the season and since his comeback he has failed to live up to his form at Manchester City, form that saw Allardyce spend £5.8 million on him.
Barton, of course, now finds himself in a spot of bother with the police and it is unclear wheter or not he will even play for the Magpies again. He also brought in David Rozenhal from PSG and he has failed to produce any decent form, now finding himself on the bench.
Although Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has denied claims that the club is ready to axe Allardyce, many bookies have Big Sam as their favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked and I feel that he should be given until the end of the season at least, although I'm not sure that's what a lot of Magpies fans feel.
So what do you think, does Big Sam deserve more time at Newcastle?
