Chelsea told to cough up £30 million for Real ace

Chelsea have today been told they will need to cough up £30 million in order to sign Real Madrid striker Robinho. The player has been linked with a move to the Premier League giants for the past few weeks as Luis Phillipe Scolari looks to rebuild his squad at Stamford Birdge. (Daily Star)

Chelsea are only prepared to pay £24 million for the Brazilian international but Real president Ramon Calderon has told Roman Abramovich to cough up £6 million more. Robinho has spent over three season at the Bernabeu and in many peoples view he has never fulfilled his early promise which he showed at Santos.

The 24-year old has worked with Scolari before and it is thought that the player himself would be very keen for the relationship to start back up again. Personally I don't feel Robinho is worth £30 million, maybe £22 million at most but I don't foresee Chelsea spending that kind of money on a player like Robinho.
