Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta is attracting interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham after a string of fantastic displays for Everton. The Spaniard only joined the Mersey side club in January 2005 but his recent performances have attracted attention from the Premier League sides. There has been a rumour that Liverpool may offer money and Harry Kewell for the services of the 25 year old.West Ham have supposedly approached Everton as to the possibility of signing Andy Johnson and Mikel Arteta for a fee as high as 25 million pounds. Johnson has not performed as well this season as he did last season but West Ham still want to acquire the services of the England international.
Chelsea have been linked with making a 12 million pound bid and I think that would be a good deal for Everton to get that kind of money for a player they only paid 2 million pounds for from Real Sociedad. I think Arteta definitely has the ability to play at a top side like Chelsea or Liverpool and I would love to see him playing in the Champions League. I do feel a move to West Ham would be a step down in his carrer (with all due respect to West Ham).
