Arsenal have tonight beaten Blackburn 2-0 to move five points clear of Manchester United in second place in the Premier League.The Gunners took an early in front of a packed Emirates stadium when Phillipe Senderos headed home from close range.
Arsenal top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor doubled the advantage just before the final whistle when Alexander Hleb played the ball to the Togo striker who finished well past Brad Friedel in the Rovers.
Not a very convincing performance by Arsene Wenger's men but a win none the less. This clearly makes Arsenal favourites for the title but there are still 36 points to play for.
