West Brom undone by early Nasri strike

Arsenal got their Premier League campaign off to a good start, beating one of the league newcomers, West Brom 1-0 at the Emirates this lunch-time. It was one of the Gunners summer signings who earned Arsene Wenger's men all three points.

Yes, £12 million midfielder Samir Nasri put his side 1-0 up early on with a neat finish from all of six yards. With the first goal coming so early, many people might of thought that Arsenal were going to run away with this, far from it.

Tony Mowbray's side put up a superb fight against the might of Arsenal and were in truth unlucky not to get more from the game, although I am sure the Baggies fans weren't expecting too much from today's outing.

Before the season started, I personally thought West Brom would stay up and judging on today's performance I am pretty certain they will. Their performances at the Hawtorns this season will be crucial in their bid for survival, starting with next week's game against Everton.
