Dimitar Berbatov is putting the finishing touches to his £28 million move to Manchester United. The Bulgarian international is having a medical in Manchester after weeks of speculation over his future.The former Bayner Leverkusen man has been Sir Alex Ferguson's number one target for some time now after the United boss confirmed he was in the market for a new striker. Berbatov, 27, had also been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, but in the end it looks like United have prevailed.
I personally think Berbatov will be a quality signing for United although I don't know who United will start once he signs. He is a proven goalscorer at every level and I am sure United fans will be chuffed to see him arrive at Old Trafford, although I think he is worth a little less than the £28 million United have paid.
