Celtic defender Bobo Balde has today been linked with a January switch to Premier League side Derby County. Balde has fallen out of favour at Celtic Park and is reportedly unhappy and interested in a move away from the club during the transfer window. The 32 year old was rumoured to be close to signing for Sunderland during the summer but that deal never materialised.Balde has been at Celtic since moving from French side Toulouse in 2001. Balde said during the summer that he would be happy to fulfill his contract at the Scottish side but since then he has been told he is fifth in line in centre back at the club and he has been rumoured to of said that is he is very unhappy and in search of a move.
Balde impressed me whilst playing at Celtic but unfortunately for some reason or another he has falling way down in the pecking order at the club. I really hope Balde leaves Celtic and joins Derby or anyone else for that fact and starts playing first team football again because he is too good a talent to waste. It is rumoured that Derby will have to pay at least £1 million and I think that is good value for money.
