So far this season the Bulgarian international has struggled to find his form and goal scoring ability that wowed the audiences and saw Spurs finish fifth in the Premiership with the 26 year old getting 12 goals and 11 assists in his 33 appearances for the club. It is clear from this and from watching him play last season where Utd see the talent in the Spurs number 9, despite his poor form this season.
It is reckoned that Utd will have to splash out up to £24 million on the Bulgarian international, supplying a struggling Tottenham side with much needed transfer funds for January.
So with possibly four world class strikers in that of Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov (to be), I can't help but feel that there won't be a place for, France international, Louis Saha as he is already lacking match practice without the presence of Berbatov. This could catch the interest of the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal or even Man City in what could also be a big money move come January.
