Liverpool have handed a trial to Rochdale youngster Matt Hughes according to reports on Sky Sports today.The 15 year old has raced through the Rochdale youth system and has in turn caught the attention of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.
In a recent statement on the Rochdale website, assistant manager Dave Flictcroft said, "He has great leadership qualities and a fantastic attitude and I can honestly say that I have never seen a young player so focused.
"To see a story like this unfold in front of your eyes is fantastic. I feel sure Matty is going to be a real player who goes on to play at a very high level." From the sounds of things this guy seems to be a promising young talent and would be a good prospect for the future of Liverpool.
