Pandev joins the long list of names which have been linked with Newcastle since the return of King Kev to Tyneside last week.
The Macedonian has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent times with clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal said to be interested in the 24 year old. He joined the Serie A in 2004 from Inter Milan where he failed to make an impact in the first team.
In an interview with Makedonski Sport, Pandev said,"This morning the people from the club told me about the offer from Newcastle... Keegan's club want the negotiations to start soon, but I don't know anything about the figures and a possible sum."
Newcastle have reportedly been looking to strengthen their strike force with Obafemi Martins away on international duty and players like Michael Owen firing blanks. I feel the introduction of Pandev would be a terrific signing and at £13 million would be a bargain.
