Tottenham are supposedly set to sign Middlesbrough defender, Johnathan Woodgate and Hertha Berlin left back, Gilberto.Woodgate reportedly turned down a move to former club Newcastle this week in order to secure his move to White Hart Lane. So at the moment it looks like he is joining the London side in the very near future.
Reports on Sky Sports this morning state that Hertha Berlin defender, Gilberto has had a medical at Spurs. It is thought that the two parties just have to fix up a few minor details before the Brazilian is signed by Juande Ramos.
I think that both of these signings are good ones and much needed with Spurs poor defending this season. This pair will certainly steady the ship at White Hart Lane.
