Arsenal and Tottenham have today been given hope in their attempts to sign Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar after the player admitted he expects to leave the club in the summer. Several big name players have already left Fratton Park in recent weeks and now Kranjcar has admitted he could also be leaving.The Croatian international has recently opened talks over a new deal at Pompey, however he does now expect to be on his way out once the season ends. The 24-year old has spent two-and-a-half years on the South Coast, making nearly 100 appearances in the process. When asked about his future at the club, Kranjcar had this to say : "I am waiting [for a move] there is no rush,"
"Until the end of the season I will be with Portsmouth ... After that the club will make a decision on what is best, and they will probably sell me - even though we have started negotiations over a new deal."
Personally, I feel Kranjcar has the ability to become a world class player. No disrespect to Pompey but I don't feel they are a big enough club for Kranjcar to excel at. It is thought that either Spurs or Arsenal will have to bid at least £12 million if they are to have any chance of signing the player and in my eyes, that would be terrific value for money.
