"I wouldn't rule out someone like Shearer being brought in by Keegan as an assistant or a coach to learn his trade," Peacock told BBC Sport. So for the vast majority of Newcastle fans they seem ecstatic with their new appointment and Shearer looks to be the icing on the cake for the Toon army.
