Arsenal have today joined Manchester United in the race to sign Ajax striker Klass Jan Huntelaar. The Holland international has been linked with a move to the Premier League for years now and Arsenal and Man United are both reportedly ready to meet Ajax's £18 million valuation of Huntelaar.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to add another striker to the Old Trafford ranks with Louis Saha likely to depart in the next few weeks. Arsene Wenger is bracing himself for the departure of Emmanuel Adebayor to either Barcelona or AC Milan and has targeted Huntelaar as a perfect replacement.

"I love clubs with great history like Ajax, I also love United," Huntelaar told Dutch reporters. "It's a club that makes me dream, especially as Ruud van Nistelrooy played there and did great things with them.
