Xabi Alonso's move to Juventus could be taking a U-turn as the Serie A giants seem unwilling to meet Liverpool's £16 million price tag on the midfielder according to reports on Football 365 today.
The Spaniard looked set for an exit from Anfield especially with the imminent arrival of Gareth Barry from Aston Villa. However Rafa Benitez has put Juve off the defensive midfielder after slapping a £16 million price tag on The Reds number 14.
Personally as Liverpool fan, I would be more than happy to see Xabi Alonso stay at the club and should he stay, it may see the end of the Gareth Barry to Liverpool transfer saga. The £18 million rated England midfielder would then be left in limbo where neither Villa nor Liverpool need him.
