According to today's Observer, Tottenham are to bid for Lyon striker Karim Benzema who has long been a target of North London rivals Arsenal.Benzema has really made a name for himself this season with terrific performances in both the French League and the Champions League.
The 20-year old striker was linked with a move to Arsenal back in November and they are still said to be keen on the player but Spurs boss Juande Ramos could be set to bid £14 million for the player.
I really would love to see Benzema in the Premier League because he clearly has a lot of talent. It's not just his finishing, but his all round play that impresses me and he would be a great addition to the Spurs team, especially if Berbatov does leave.
