It has been rumoured on the Telegraph website that Aston Villa are looking to sign either of Tottenham's English strikers Jermain Defoe or Darren Bent.Both strikers are said to be unhappy at the lack of first team football at the club and have been heavily linked with a move away come the opening of the January transfer window.
The Englishmen have been behind in the pecking order at White Hart Lane with the presence of Dimitar Berbatov and club captain Robbie Keane. Both players figured recently in England's 3-2 defeat to Croatia, which poses the question, why they can get in their national team and not even start for their club.
