Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov will not be leaving the club this January, according to reports in The Daily Star today. The Bulgarian international captain has been linked with the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Real Madrid but now it seems as though the 26 year old is staying put at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future at least.
So even if Berbatov is staying at the club, the Londoners may still lose a striker this January. It has been rumoured that Aston Villa are chasing Spurs' Jermain Defoe. Defoe has reportedly been unhappy with his lack of game time at the club, much of which is down to Robbie Keane's good form.
It is thought that Villa or possibly even Man City will put in a bid of about £11 million for the England international come January.
