Newcastle United defender Celestine Babayaro has today has his contract paid off by the club.The former Chelsea player hasn't featured at all this season due to injury and Magpies boss Sam Allardyce has agreed to end Babayaro's contract at the club.
Babayaro's contract was due to expire at the end of the season but he has had his Newcastle career ended today.
Babayaro joined the club back in 2005 for a fee of around £1 million from Chelsea but rarely did he show on kind of consistent spell of performances.
It is shame to see Babayaro leave the Premier League but hopefully he may come back with someone else. He is only 29-years old and I think he could do a good job for a Championship side or a struggling Premier League side.
