Middlesbrough today beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Premier League, playing extremely well for ninety minutes, but it does pose the question... why they can't perform like that against lesser opponents. Boro were simply splendid today, closing down Arsenal at every opportunity and Boro striker Tuncay appitimised their performance.They now go on to face Derby County next week and after today's performance you would expect them to beat them comfortably but I personally doubt they will. It is common fact that the lesser sides raise their games against the bigger sides.
So for all you people out their that think Boro will turn a corner from this win today, your probably wrong.
