Celtic are set to make an approach for Bayern star Daniel van Buyten according to reports on Sky Sports today.In an interview with the Scottish Sun he said that he would consider a move to the club, "Celtic is one of my options... I have not spoken with them but I know their coach has asked for details about me... Scotland is a fabulous country for football and the atmosphere is great."
The former Man City player has performed well for Bayern this season, particularly in Europe and has also attracted the attention of Portsmouth and Fulham in this month's transfer window. However it appears now as though Celtic are favourites to sign the 29 year old Belgian.
