Liverpool are targeting Villareal playmaker Matias Fernandez according to reports in The Telegraph.Fernandez joined the La Liga side in 2004 from Colo Colo and has since played over 40times for the Spanish giants.
Fernandez also has 18 caps for his national side Chile scoring a very creditable 4 goals in those games. Fernandez has a buy-out clause of over £35 million but Reds boss Rafa Benitez is set to start the bidding at £10 million.
I have heard rave reviews about this kid and I sure would love to see him in the Premier League. He plays in a similar position to Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and this would leave many people to believe that Benitez is ready to offload Sissoko to Juventus.
