According to today's Sun, Chelsea and Liverpool are to battle it out to sign Villarreal defender Martin Caceres.The player has been linked with moves to the Premier League before and he is said to be keen on coming to England.
Both Avram Grant and Rafa Benitez are said to be preparing £10 million bids for the 19-year old who is has played on loan with Spanish side Recreativo this season.
Caceres has represented his national side Uriaguay at under-20 level and is said to be one of the next best things to come out of South America. I have heard many good things about this player and although I have rarely seen him play, I would love to see him join the Premier League.
