Liverpool, Man City and Man United are all set to make an approach for Ajax star Klaas Jan Huntelaar according to reports on Sky Sports today.The Dutch international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and it is believed that all three of the above clubs had scouts present at Ajax's 6-1 demolition of AZ Alkmaar, in which the 24 year old performed brilliantly.
Since his move from Heerenveen he has managed an astonishing 55 goals from 66 appearances in the red and white colours.
I know people are going to say I'm wrong but this situation sounds a bit familiar. Dirk Kuyt was bigged up so much in Holland and has done hardly anything for The Reds since his arrival.
I'm not sure about Huntelaar, people are saying he's world class and as a Liverpool fan I hope he is if he comes to Anfield, just don't get your hopes up too high. But then again you never know he might be the opposite of Dirk Kuyt and be the next Ruud van Nistelrooy.
