One of Liverpool's biggest mistakes, in my opinion, was the sale of full back, Stephen Warnock in 2007 to Blackburn.£1.5 million, nothing in today's football terms, that's what we sold him for and after seeing him play for Rovers in recent weeks.... What were we thinking ?
I honestly believed that he was one of the best left backs in the Premier League even before he left for Blackburn and I can confidently say that Warnock is better than Riise and at least equal to Arbeloa. It would be unfair to compare him to Aurelio with the Brazilian's Liverpool career being blighted with injuries.
I mean £1.5 million, in a transfer market where average players like Momo Sissoko costs £9 million and John Arne Riise £6 million. It's just unbelieveable what chumps we were to accept that offer for a player of that quality.
