According to various papers today, Manchester City are lining up a £12 million bid for Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski.The German international has found it hard to nail down a first team place with Munich since joining them from fellow Bundesliga side Cologne.
There is no doubt that City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is on the look out for a new striker in January after seeing his summer signings Valeri Boijinov and Rolando Bianchi not banging in the goals for one reason or another.
As a City fan myself, I would be over the moon if we were to sign Podolski. The 22-year old impressed immensely during the World Cup in 2006 and in my view, hasn't been given a fair chance at Bayern.
